In chess, often the first player who "checks, identified as check/move+" need not necessarily be the player who wins in the end. Heck, the same player can even 'checks' all he wants but if there's no 'king safety' one check from the pressured opponent might be all that is required to end the game especially now where the rules are for a 'silent check'.


Apply that to present Malaysian politics and eerily the game of chess comes to live.
The motley forces aligned to bring down the just emerging Bugis-warrior PM have been dong just that. They've been checking all over the place.
Check+: PM have been 'kowtowing' to the Chinese.
Check+: 1MDB rumblings.
Check+: Tabung Haji and other entitiy(ies) linkages to 1MDB.
Check+: Wall Stree Journal(WSJ) expose!
Check+: PM Dato' Seri Najib Razak no-show at the "Nothing to Hide" forum before fasting month.
Check+: " Day of the 5, 6, 7 and counting Tan Sri's"
             (as per Indonesia's Kandang Buaya. No of Tan Sri's depends on who you talk to);
Check+: Audience with the YDA...on a day now 'deleted' from history?
CHECK+: " PLEASE, fill up your OWN example(s)! I lost count of how many checks. " 

The motley forces have been doing just that i.e. endlessly 'Checking' the Bugis-warrior PM version 2.0 and with each check the motley forces have been exposing their pawns and lately the other important pieces whilst at the same-time exposing the king to his own devices.

Alas, the voting population now realised how dangerous a counter-check is.
Check+: The AG being 'retired'.
Check+: Cabinet Reshuffled. DPM and Ministers dropped.
Check+: New DPM and Ministers. Power Consolidated.
Check+: Mulitple arrests made
Check+: ???
